In tonight’s Coronation Street, Tim and Sally’s problems with Lucy continue, with Jodie and Joanie both involved! Any hope of a happy home life seems a long way off…
Meanwhile, Todd tries to help Celeste reconnect with her niece Bernie when their secret connection is revealed.

1. Jodie is dragged back into Lucy’s dramas
Jodie calls out to Lucy over the garden fence, checking whether she’s okay when she looks upset. It seems that Jodie is willing to put their previous spat to one side, but Lucy reacts badly.

Sally and Tim are shocked to overhear a frantic Lucy screaming about Jodie supposedly spying on her. Jodie is baffled – and soon faces problems with Sally, who takes Lucy’s side.
2. Joanie’s at the centre of trouble too
Joanie is also struggling to get along with Lucy – and things get personal during an argument in the back garden.
The showdown ends with someone being injured – and Tim and Sally are left in despair.
3. Tim decides it’s time to be honest
Tim agrees to join Lucy when she asks to see her mum’s body at the undertakers.

Feeling guilty about how much Lucy trusts him, Tim finally chooses to tell her about the role he played in the events leading up to her mother’s death. It’s back to square one for their relationship – will this ruin the temporary fostering arrangement?
4. Todd refuses to apologise
Todd is still public enemy number one in his own home, as his loved ones are all annoyed with him for hurting Glenda’s feelings last week.
After recently vowing to take a more selfish and ruthless approach to life, Todd sticks to his guns by insisting that an apology isn’t necessary.
5. Celeste confides in Todd
Terminally ill Celeste returns to the undertakers and later spots Bernie on the street. She tries speaking to Bernie, who snubs her with a harsh rejection.

Todd discovers the backstory, as Celeste reveals that she is the twin sister of Bernie’s mum but there’s bad blood between the family members. With time running out, Celeste hopes to make amends with Bernie before she dies.
Todd steps in to play peacemaker, but this risks causing a rift with Bernie.
6. Ollie and Ben’s rivalry turns nastier
Ollie prepares to welcome an influencer to Speed Daal, hoping for a positive review. However, when the influencer turns up at the Rovers first, Ben keeps him busy by inviting him to sample the pub’s new collection of craft beers.
Ollie is furious when he discovers that Ben has hijacked his PR plan – and the newfound business rivalry threatens to get out of hand.
Coronation Street star speaks out after sparking on-set feud rumours
Coronation Street star Jane Hazlegrove has spoken out after sparking rumours of an on-set feud. It was thought by some that the actor, who plays Bernie Winter-Alahan on the ITV soap, was taking aim at a co-star following a social media post.
On Monday (17 August), Hazlegrove shared a photo on Instagram, with the text reading: “Booking the role isn’t the end of the job interview. How you behave after you’re hired matters too.”
“Haven’t been visible for a long long time! But this post makes total sense! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
As my Dad used to say you are only as good as your last performance! Be nice! And if you can’t be nice… step away … cos people see,” she added.
While some thought the star was referring to another actor from Corrie, which could indicate some trouble behind the scenes of the soap, Hazlegrove later cleared up the rumours in the comment section.
“Just for clarification this post is NOT about anyone I am currently working with at Coronation Street. It’s a gentle reminder to be kind and professional at all times!” she confirmed.
Meanwhile, her co-star Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt, took the opportunity to make a joke, asking: “This is me isn’t it?” Hazlegrove replied with a number of laughing faces, adding: “soz pal you don’t win this one!!! No it’s bloody not!!!”
The actor has recently been missing from the cobbles, alongside her on-screen husband Jimmi Harkishin (who plays Dev Alahan). However, Bernie returns home next week, and is shocked to see her estranged auntie Celeste.
It’s clear that there’s some tension between the pair, as Bernie gives her the cold shoulder even after Todd Grimshaw reveals that Celeste is dying. Will they manage to bury the hatchet before it’s too late?
